Summer Rain -
Raindrops dance on the pavement
while others beat out the rhythm on the roof
and all around is a glorious wet -
that the grass and ground thirstily drinks
and the flowers suck in all they can
the grime and dust is washed away
but in the heat
the steam rises
as the sun peeks out again
until later when the raindrops begin a new dance.
